The UK government has introduced the new High Potential Individual visa route in May 2022 to attract graduates of top global Universities who wish to work or look for work in the UK.
To qualify, the institution that awarded the applicant’s degree should be on one of the following lists:
If an application for a High Potential Individual visa is approved, the period of permission an applicant will be granted depends on the academic level of the qualification that they have relied on as the following:
· PhD or other doctoral level qualifications – 3 years
· Bachelors and masters degree qualifications – 2 years
If an application for a High Potential Individual visa is approved, the applicant will be permitted to do any type of work (including self-employment and voluntary work), apart from as a professional sportsperson or sports coach.
